About the Event

We’ve been sold a lie. A lie that keeps us from feeling our innate power. We’ve been taught that the things that makes us human (like body hair, grey hair, wrinkles, the softness & thickness of our bodies), are offensive to others and we need to pay money to hide all of those things so that those who decided what they prefer can be satisfied. I call bullshit on that and it stops with me. 

I often say embodiment and self acceptance is a revolutionary act and the starting point of dismantling the patriarchy. It turns out, you are not broken. The system is. 

I’m so honored to share space with you in this practice and intention of letting our bodies free from all the constraints we put on them to be put together all the time. It’s time to commit to a different way. The way of the Matriarch and the Wise Womxn. 

Free form movement is a great way to practice listening to what your body actually needs and wants. It’s an opportunity to connect with yourself and check in. 

This is an opportunity to practice feeling at home in your body. It's about developing a loving relationship with your body and learning how to listen to what it’s trying to tell you. This is about letting your body move in a way that feels GOOD to you.  

I recommend setting up in a space where you won't be distracted by catching your image in the mirror. You can also turn your camera off on zoom if you feel it is distracting to see yourself. Of course there's ways of doing mirror work that is healing so make sure to honor where ever you are. It's a process. 

Set up your space in a way that delights as many of your senses as possible. Think: cleanliness, lighting, incense, etc. 

Have handy a yoga mat or blanket to lay on if your floor is hard, pillows/bolsters, water, journal & pen, and any other tools you like to use to support you.
